Vision

We have studied the “Child Care Model” of church planting, first developed by the English District of the LCMS.  After prayerful consideration and planning we believe it is a strategy that will work for our mission.  We envision serving families in North Merritt Island in a number of ways.
 - Providing full-time and part-time child care for children from six weeks through five years of age.
 - Provide a preschool program in the mornings for children ages two through four.
 - Provide before and after-school program for children in kindergarten through eighth grade.
 - Provide summer programming for all children including various specialized camps.

Facilities

A fenced playground will have areas for each age group to enjoy.
Our building will meet every requirement for safety and health of our staff and the children, including:

 - Sprinklers and smoke detectors in every room.
 - Emergency exit routes that are posted in each classroom and near each exit.
 - Fire, tornado and emergency evacuation drills will be conducted regularly.
 - Safety, security and cleanliness will be maintained at all times.

Welcome
We believe that a childcare brings a congregation in touch with it's community at the Crossroads of life

It meets a need that extends across an ever expanding population. Many of the new homes in the area house young families with both parents working -- there are scores of new arrivals weekly in the Merritt Island and the greater Brevard county areas. When the parents ask us to join them in caring for their child, we find ourselves in a position specifically where Jesus commanded us to be in Matthew 28:19-20 and view this opportunity to both nurture and outreach.

A well-founded and caring childcare ministry nurtures not only the children but also the parents, and brings those children and parents into the open arms of the Church on a daily basis, often over several years. This provides opportunity for the Church, the body of Christ, to openly reveal itself and develop a relationship with the family, to offer the warmth of a caring community, and to minister to their various needs as occasions arise.
